Rock Conducting Workshop
Presented
by the Round Rock Symphony and the International
Conducting Institute, the 2nd annual Austin/Round Rock
Conducting Workshop will take place May 14-21, 2011, in
Round Rock and Austin, TX. This one-week intensive course will be
lead by renowned Maestro and Austin
Symphony music director PETER
BAY,
and our own Maestro Silas Huff. Professional and aspiring
conductors and music educators will have 4 video-taped
conducting sessions with the Round Rock Symphony, 4 video
review sessions, 2 conducting/baton technique classes, 2
score study sessions, and 4 body movement classes as well (Alexander
Technique, Yoga for conductors, Tai Chi for conductors, and
Ballet for conductors).
