Round Rock Symphony will kick off its fifth season on Friday, September 21, 2012 with Austria to Oz, our Opening Night celebration with special guest orchestra musicians from all ten RRISD middle schools. We have a full calendar of exciting musical experiences in store, including two additional subscription orchestra concerts in February and May; three subscription chamber music concerts in October, January and April; our first-ever performance on the Georgetown Symphony Society season in November; a “1940's Swingin' Holiday” gala in December featuring a 15-piece big band and the RRSO strings; and a return performance at Georgetown Festival of the Arts' Concert in the Park in June. There will also be interactive performances for RRISD elementary students by RRSO musicians, which were enthusiastically received last year, plus the launch of a new free after-school orchestra program at two Title I RRISD elementary schools this fall.
Tickets for regular season concerts in 2012-2013 are priced at $25 for adults and $10 for students with school ID. Children age 5 and under are always admitted FREE.
